Staff Martial Arts Instructor

Chicago Kids Martial Arts

Pete and the staff of instructors at RIO Jiu Jitsu Academy are all excellent teachers. Although each instructor has his own unique style of Jiu Jitsu, all of the most important techniques, positions and strategies are presented in a manner that is easy to follow. Despite who teaches a class on a particular day, you will always learn outstanding techniques and how the techniques relate to each other. You will also learn how to apply the techniques under realistic scenarios against a resisting opponent. After training for a few months, you will be able to flow from one technique to the other with ease and fluidity. In other words, you will learn a system of Jiu Jitsu as opposed to a series of unrelated moves that will not work together.

Each class is designed to build upon the techniques taught in previous classes. You can, however, rest assured that techniques are continually reviewed so that students do not miss a learning opportunity simply because they missed a few weeks of class.

Pete and the staff at RIO Jiu Jitsu also stay up to date on the evolution of Jiu Jitsu in order to make sure that the students are always taught the best way to perform a particular technique. Although most of the techniques of Jiu Jitsu have existed for a long time, techniques are continually modified as time goes on. At RIO Jiu Jitsu Academy, Pete and the staff strive to stay informed with respect to the latest trends in Jiu Jitsu so that RIO Jiu Jitsu Academy maintains the highest standards of Jiu Jitsu training. This type of passion and commitment plays a significant role in our staff’s ability to remain several steps ahead of most other academies.

Pete continues to travel in order to train with the best Jiu Jitsu players in the world. When he returns from his travels, the first thing he does is share cutting-edge techniques with his staff. By doing so, Pete ensures that the students learn in the most efficient manner possible.
